Key Information

The next generation of African youth are unprepared for life beyond the classroom. By 2020, over 50% of the working population in Sub-Saharan Africa will be youth aged 15-29. Employers and governments identify a specific set of skills needed to positively shape Africa’s future; growing youth must be equipped to tackle life’s challenges and influence change. The Leadership and Entrepreneurship Incubator Program is a supplement to education, with a 3-year curriculum that packs in practical skills designed to assist youth in making the transition from the classroom and beyond. The key areas of focus are developing life skills (leadership, work ethic, communication), preparing for job readiness (problem solving, teamwork), and inspiring the vision necessary for entrepreneurship. Upon completion of the 3-year program, participants have the necessary skills to enter the job market and start their own businesses, though many also continue onto higher education in pursuit of their personal vision.
