The Kanya Vidya Dhan Yojana scheme aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious girls from economically weaker sections of the society to pursue higher education. The main objective of this scheme is to encourage parents to send their daughters to school and ensure that they get access to quality education. Under this scheme, girls who have secured a minimum of 60% marks in their intermediate exams are eligible for financial assistance. The scheme is only applicable for girls who are residents of Uttar Pradesh and have passed their intermediate exams from any recognized board in the state.
