Key Information

The UNFPA-UNICEF Global Programme to End Child Marriage has been implemented since 2016 across Africa, the Middle East and South Asia in 12 of the highest-prevalence and/or high-burden countries: Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Mozambique, Nepal, Niger, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Yemen and Zambia.

The programme has surpassed most of its output targets, reaching more than 7.9 million girls and 14 million community members in the 12 countries with interventions designed to end child marriage continuously extending its reach to larger populations of adolescent girls, men and boys and community members.
