Description

The Luminos Fund is an international education nonprofit that provides transformative education programs to thousands of out-of-school children, helping them to catch up to grade level, reintegrate into government schools, and prepare for lifelong learning. Our mission is to ensure all children have equal access to joyful, foundational learning, especially those shut out of education by crisis, poverty, or discrimination. In just one school year, the Luminos program teaches students to read and do math – to learn how to learn – through a joyful, activity-based curriculum.

In each of our countries of operation, Luminos brings a holistic approach: working in partnership with community-based organizations to co-create country-specific curricula and implement the program. To date, Luminos catch-up education programs have enabled over 377,407 vulnerable and out-of-school children to get back to school.
